Description:
A member of an Interagency Hotshot Crew (IHC) on the Lava Fire, Boise National Forest, was bucking a log from the downhill side when the log rolled over and pinched his lower left leg. The crewmember was stabilized on the scene and flown by agency helicopter to Saint Alphonsus Hospital in Boise, Idaho. The crewmember’s left leg was suspected to be broken, but upon examination, no broken bones were found. Tissue damage was diagnosed. The crewmember was released with light duty restrictions.
